Consultation & Assessment
We start like every other Personal Trainer, with a free assessment and consultation.
This is to determine the client's level of fitness, injury history, previous experience, commitment to change, and personal goals, as well as gathering information about habits such as eating, sleeping, work, and hobbies.


Functional Fitness

The next step is to create a program designed to help achieve the clients' goals, one at a time.
Starting with the level of fitness (based on the consultation), we create a basic program template. This is adjusted to reflect exercise restrictions (based on the assessment). Using this system, we create a challenging yet achievable program.

After the program is created, the training begins!

Joint Fitness creates challenging programs for strength, weight loss, and overall fitness to help you stay healthy. We then bring it all to you at your home, office, or wherever you prefer to work out.

Joint Fitness delivers everything you need for a great workout. No waiting in line to do deadlifts today! We bring everything needed to complete the workout.
We have a large selection of equipment to choose from, and we use it all (note the Bosu Ball in the picture). Good trainers don't need a lot of equipment to make a workout challenging.

That is part of the reason I enjoy this so much: I get to help people live a longer and more enjoyable life. That is the most rewarding aspect of this profession. People can regain the confidence they have lost over the years and play with their kids again, lower their risk of chronic illness, lose weight, gain muscle, improve cardiovascular health, and so many other benefits of exercise... I truly love this work.

Let's be honest, talking about addiction is tough. There's a stigma and so much misunderstanding. But the truth is, the story of Joint Fitness is deeply personal, rooted in my own journey through addiction.
For 18 years, half my life, I was caught in the grip of opioid addiction. It started with one Vicodin prescription at 18, and for a long time, opiates were my reality. But then, something shifted: exercise. Every period of real sobriety I've experienced has been directly linked to rediscovering the incredible "natural high" that comes from moving my body.
We all know exercise is crucial for a long, healthy life – the science is crystal clear. Yet, in our communities, we see high rates of obesity and, often, addiction that can manifest in many ways beyond substance use. For those in recovery, overeating is a common challenge. I've heard one person say: "I didn't eat for years, so when I got clean, I ate everything!" And with that, the weight piles on.
That's where exercise truly becomes an answer. When you commit to a fitness program, the desire to nourish your body better often follows naturally. You get an incredible rush of natural endorphins, a powerful tool in recovery. Beyond the mental and emotional benefits, the physical rewards are immense: reducing your risk of chronic diseases, boosting cardiovascular health, stabilizing your mood, melting away stress, and building confidence and self-efficacy. It's a complete transformation.
